Dear Fellow Warwick Hong Kong Alumni,

It is a special honour and a privilege to present to you this commemorative publication by the Warwick Graduates' Association Hong Kong (WGAHK).

Established in 1994, the WGAHK Executive Committee is a group of passionate and talented alumni who are committed to providing opportunities for alumni to engage with the University and with one another; to support activities that highlight our alumni's achievements, and to involve current students as future stakeholders of our Association. Our core mission is to engage alumni in Hong Kong, build a culture of philanthropy among the Warwick family, and be the representative voice for Hong Kong alumni. Regardless of how recently you graduated or how long ago, you are a special and valued member of ours.

In 2015 we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the founding of our alma mater. The past five decades witnessed many Warwick graduates who are not only successful in their own lives but have also brought positive recognition to our University. In Hong Kong, we are delighted to see the second generation of Warwick graduates and who are proud of their Warwick heritage. I hope you share my pride in our alma mater for all that it has accomplished and for its vision in moving forward.

Staying connected through experiences is a simple but powerful bond, and provides us with the opportunity to reflect on our time at Warwick. There is no better way to keep these memories and the meaning alive than actively being a part of the WGAHK. Warwickers of every generation are united through the tradition of giving back. Since its founding in 2002, the WGAHK Scholarship Fund has awarded 14 scholarships to outstanding first-year students. In 2012, the Friends of the University of Warwick in Hong Kong was established with the aim of enabling Hong Kong-based donors to give tax-efficiently to projects of mutual benefit to the University and to our local community. I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to all donors and sponsors for their generosity which enables us to further our mission and sustain our meaningful work.


In my tenure, I will strive to promote interactions among all alumni and look forward to scaling new heights for WGAHK. I hope you can join me in this worthy endeavour and I look forward to seeing you all in our future activities.
