On behalf of WGAHK,
Nancy Chui, Manita So,
Chris Chu and Elaine
Hung joined the annual
dinner of IGDS alumni
held at the Hong Kong
Polytechnic University
on 11 December 2004.
The theme of the evening
ˇ§Purple Nightˇ¨ explained
the sights of many
participants dressed in
purple or putting on
purple accessories. In
an elegant purple
setting and a romantic
ambience, the evening
began with a welcoming
speech by Wingo Tang,
IGDS alumni President
(2003-04). Whist
participants were
immersed in the relaxing
atmosphere and were
eagerly chatting with
their old and new
friends, Professor Lee,
Director of Studies of
the IGDS programme, took
the audience by surprise
with his enchanting
waltz steps. The entire
audience further
dissolved into cheer and
laughter while enjoying
themselves in the para
para dance of IGDS
alumni Paul Li, Henry
Mok and Ricky Chau.
Their wonderful
performances were
rewarded with a big
round of applause.
The atmosphere climbed
to another height as the
beer-drinking contest
started. WGAHK
representative Chris
beat other contestants
rounds after rounds and
eventually won the male
section of the drinking
contest. After the
exciting bingo game and
the long-awaited lucky
draw in which many
prizes were generously
donated by teaching
staff and alumni, the
dinner came to full
close and left
participants with many
fond memories.
Congratulations to IGDS
for the tremendous
success of the dinner,
we wish them more
accomplishments in the
future!
