The WGAHK Annual Dinner was held
on 15 December 2007.
This year, we were
delighted to have Prof
Nigel Thrift, Warwickˇ¦s
Vice-Chancellor, to
share with us the
success and vision of
the University at this
memorable evening.
It was very well-attended with
over 100 Warwickers and
friends from across the
years and different
backgrounds. The
gathering started with a
welcome speech given by
Mr Edward Tan, Chairman
of WGAHK. Prof. Thrift
then shared the
Universityˇ¦s latest
development and vision.
The MCs Miss Margaux
Yeung (BSc Computer &
Business Studies) and Mr
Liam Lai (LLB Law)
brought us a lot of fun
and joy through games
and other activities.

The climax of the night was the
debut performance of the
Warwick Singing Group.
Led by Colin Touchin
(Warwickˇ¦s former Music
Director), joined by Mrs
Thrift and many others,
the group gave a
wonderful performance of
a medley of beautiful
Christmas carols.
After the singing performance,
the most exciting part
was of course the lucky
draw. The lucky ones
brought home for
Christmas attractive
gift items such as a DVD
HiFi system, a designer
bag or a X-Box 360 game
set.
The annual dinner was a
remarkable success.
Thanks everyone for your
support and we look
forward to seeing you
again next year!
