Those who did not attend
the art appreciation and
wine tasting event held
at the Empire Hotel on
27th August 2004 had
certainly missed an
inspiring and fun event,
which attracted 38
participants. Thanks to
our executive committee
member Suzanne Fung for
organising the activity,
and our guest speakers,
Mr. Marco Szeto and Miss
Linda Tsui, for their
wonderful presentations.
To begin with, Marco
shared with us how to
understand and
appreciate the structure
and meanings of ancient
Chinese mansions and
gardens. Marco's acute
observation and his
interesting presentation
aroused our interests
and we all got a deeper
understanding about
Chinese art afterwards.
Because of the time
constraint, we needed to
move on to the wine
tasting session.
However, we will
definitely invite Marco
to share more on this
fascinating topic again
in the near future.

After taking a brief
time for snacks, our
second speaker Linda
Tsui guided us through a
journey of wine tasting.
How to taste wine? How
to hold a wine glass?
What does it mean by
"dry", "unwooded" and
"full-bodied"? Questions
and answers continued
one after another.
Everyone enjoyed the
wines amid a warm and
high atmosphere.
