Scholarship is worth
HK$20,000 and the WGAHK
2010 Engineering
Scholarship (fully
sponsored by Warwick
School of Engineering)
is valued at GBP 4,000.
Both are one-off awards
to be deducted from the
winners¡¦ academic fees
for the first year of
their study at the
University of Warwick.

A total of 56 complete
applications have been
received for the
Scholarship. A screening
panel comprising of
WGAHK current & former
executive committee
members, and also
representatives of the
IGDS Alumni met on 7
September 2010 to
short-list the
candidates for the panel
interview. Applicants
were evaluated on papers
by their academic
credentials,
extra-curricular
achievements, social
contribution, and also
personal qualities as
described in their
personal statements &
references.

scholarship award
ceremony has been held
on 18 September 2010
during a WGAHK Scholars
Club Reception at the
d¡¦Oro
Private Club, The
Cullinan.
All short-listed
candidates were given a
WGAHK certificate and a
HK$500 book coupon as a
token of encouragement.
The 2 scholarship
winners were each
presented with a
symbolic scholarship
cheque: Their actual
award money will be sent
directly to their
accounts after they have
enrolled at Warwick.
The WGAHK
Scholarship was set up
in 2002. It is the first
Warwick scholarship
established by local
alumni associations
outside the U.K. If you
