Information relating to Section B of the Application Form
(Reference)

To APPLICANTS:

Deadline of the WGAHK 2011 Scholarship & WGAHK 2011 Engineering Scholarship is: Wednesday 31st August 2011 (11:59 pm HKT).

You must send us your completed Section A of the Application Form before the said deadline.

WGAHK will send you an email to acknowledge receipt of your Application Form

It is your responsibility to arrange with your referee to complete and send us Section B of the Application Form (Reference). It can be sent to us earlier and separately. We shall safe-keep your reference until we have received the rest of your application.

Note: Section B of the Application Form (Reference) received before the said deadline does not mean you have met the said deadline. Your application will not be considered if you failed to send us a completed Section A of the Application Form before the said deadline.

Please observe the deadline carefully.
　

To REFEREES:

Deadline of the WGAHK 2011 Scholarship & WGAHK 2011 Engineering Scholarship is: Wednesday 31st August 2011 (11:59 pm HKT).

Please at your best endeavour to ensure the applicant’s reference reaches us before the said deadline. The reference can be sent via any of below methods. If you have already sent us the reference by fax or email, there is no need to send it again by post.

A late reference might adversely affect the applicant’s application as the selection process will start shortly after the said deadline.

We do not specify a format to use for the reference. However, to facilitate our judging panel’s evaluation of an applicant, we would like to see the following basic information being included in the reference:

1. Full Name of the Applicant (and his/her UCAS number, if known);

2. Your employment position, or your connection with the Applicant, e.g. form master, subject teacher, employer etc;

3. Your email address and contact details, and,

4. Number of years for which you have known the Applicant.

WGAHK will send you an email to acknowledge receipt of your Reference.
