WGAHK’s 15th Anniversary Cocktail Reception

WGAHK’s 15th Anniversary Cocktail Reception

21.03.09 + Fringe Roof Garden, Fringe Club, Central2009 is a memorable year of WGAHK when it celebrates its 15th Anniversary. To mark the occasion, the WGAHK Executive Committee came up with a special 15th Anniversary slogan “beyond networking” and invited fellow Warwicker Ms Eileen Tsang to design the corresponding logo. On a warm Saturday afternoon, about 100 Warwickers and friends gathered together at the WGAHK Cocktail Reception to kick-off the anniversary celebration. The event took place at the cozy Fringe Club roof garden among a jungle of skyscrapers which allows everyone to enjoy a spectacular view of the Central district. Alumni of different courses and years mixed and mingled in a friendly ambience while immersing themselves in wine and tapas. The wine of the event was generously sponsored by Mr K. K. Mui (MBA), Director of Berry Bros. & Rudd.

The afternoon started by a warm greeting to all guests by master of ceremony Mr Will Bedoucha. Dr Edmund Lee, the WGAHK Chairman, gave a welcome highlighting all the upcoming celebrative events and new initiatives. Our guest of honour, Dr Roy Chung (graduate in MSc Engineering Business Management & the University of Warwick Council Member) gave an inspiring speech on his perspectives of the 15th Anniversary of WGAHK and the University’s vision of 2015.

The theme “15” was an integral part of the event. At 3:15pm (15:15), 15 guests including current and past WGAHK directors announced the WGAHK’s 15th birthday by prickling 15 balloons together. The final event highlight was a lucky draw with 15 University souvenirs, sponsored by the Warwick Development & Alumni Relations Office and the Warwick Hong Kong Office.

Of course, no event is complete without a group photo!

Thanks to the concerted effort of all team members which contributed to the success of a very unforgettable afternoon. Stay connected and join us in celebrating another milestone year of WGAHK!
